'Next two weeks' - Manager teases loan deal for Newcastle United midfielder
The Newcastle United midfielder's loan spell is set to be extended.

Crewe Alexandra boss Lee Bell is hopeful of extending Joe White's loan until the end of the season.
The Newcastle United midfielder joined the League Two club in the summer, initially until the middle of January, but is set to remain at Gresty Road beyond that date.

Bell, speaking ahead of his side's Bristol Street Motors Trophy meeting with the Magpies' under-21s this evening, said: "We've spoken to Newcastle and Joe. Newcastle have been brilliant with us, they're a club that's on the up and going places.

"We have been in contact with them over the last two weeks with some really positive feedback. So hopefully in the next two weeks we'll have some good news on that."
White has made 15 appearances in all competitions for Crewe, who are eyeing promotion from the fourth tier. They currently sit fifth in the table, inside the play-off places.
The 21-year-old signed a new three-year contract at St James' Park in March last year whilst on loan at Hartlepool United. Earlier this year, White spent time at Exeter City before joining Crewe.

White is yet to make his competitive senior debut for Newcastle, although has appeared in friendlies. He is under contract at St James' Park until 2025.
The Carlisle-born midfielder is ineligible to feature against Newcastle tonight.
