Newcastle United fans were left fairly frustrated at the end of the summer transfer window after the club failed to invest in a marquee addition to their first team squad.
Many fans in particular were keen to see the club sign a right sided attacker, which remains the only position that the club have failed to strengthen following the Saudi-backed takeover in October 2021.
The Magpies showed late interest in Nottingham Forest star Anthony Elanga in the final hours of the window and were also heavily linked with both Chelsea ace Noni Madueke and former Crystal Palace hero Michael Olise, but none of those deals ended up coming to fruition.
However, with the window now closed, there is still a number of talented stars without a club that Newcastle could look to target in the coming weeks.
