Nottingham Forest v Newcastle United team news: New ‘serious’ injury as 14 ruled out
Nottingham Forest v Newcastle United team news ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash at the City Ground.
Nottingham Forest could be without up to 10 senior players for the visit of Newcastle United this evening (kick-off 8pm).
The Reds are battling to retain their Premier League status, and manager Steve Cooper has had to deal with a lengthy injury list throughout the 2022-23 campaign.
Unfortunately for Cooper, that list increased at the weekend when his side lost 3-1 to Tottenham Hotspur following a brace from Harry Kane and a goal from Heung-min Son.
While Newcastle’s injury situation is considerably better, Eddie Howe is still without a couple of key players for the visit to the City Ground.
The clash between Forest and United is a big game for both clubs. The hosts are aiming to go five points above the relegation zone, while the Magpies know a win will take them within one point of fourth place Spurs.
Here’s a look at the players that are ruled out, and those that are doubtful:

1. Omar Richards - out
The former Bayern Munich full-back won’t play again this season following several setbacks in his recovery from a fractured leg.

2. Wily Boly - out
The summer signing from Wolves is set to miss the remainder of the campaign with a hamstring injury.

3. Emil Krafth - out

4. Scott McKenna - out
McKenna is also sidelined with a hamstring injury and isn’t expected to return until after the international break.
