The agent of Bruno Guimaraes has fired back at suggestions his latest trip to Paris is in relation to the Newcastle United midfielder’s future.

He posted on X: “Good morning. I would like to point out that I am in Paris for private and family reasons and not for work. please respect and don't make up stories. Bruno is very happy in Newcastle. THANKS!”

Both Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe and the player himself as been quizzed on his future in recent weeks.

“I hope to stay much longer. I don't know what the future brings let's see, but I hope to play much more for Newcastle United,” the Brazilian said after scoring the winner at Fulham last week.

Meanwhile, Howe added: "No I wouldn't say that is a conversation we are having. He has got a contract, a long contract, signed a new deal this season. When a player does that he commits himself to you for a number of years.”
