Premier League make official Newcastle United & Manchester United decision after Liverpool drama
The Premier League has set a new date for Manchester United versus Newcastle United.
Eddie Howe’s side were originally due to visit Old Trafford on Saturday, April 20, however the fixture was postponed after the Red Devils beat Liverpool 4-3 to advance into the semi-finals of the FA Cup. The Magpies, meanwhile, missed out on a last four spot after losing to Manchester City.

Hide AdAs a result, Newcastle have been handed a free weekend while Man United take on Championship outfit Coventry City at Wembley for a place in the final.
It has now been announced that the Premier League fixture has been re-arranged for Wednesday, May 15 with kick-off at 8pm, live on Sky Sports. Ticket details will be released in due course.
Newcastle’s last visit to Old Trafford ended in a 3-0 Carabao Cup fourth round win in November. Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall and Joe Willock were on the scoresheet.
Confirmation over the Man United fixture now means each of the Magpies’ remaining seven Premier League matches has a set date.

Hide AdHowe’s men host Tottenham Hotspur this weekend before they travel to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, April 24.
Matches against relegation threatened Sheffield United (Saturday, April 27) and Burnley (Saturday, May 4) before Brighton and Hove Albion visit St James’ Park on Saturday, May 11.
The final week of the Premier League season sees Newcastle travel to Old Trafford and then Brentford (Sunday, May 19) on the final day.
