Premier League table without VAR - where Newcastle United, Leeds, Aston Villa & others sit

Where would Newcastle United sit in the Premier League table this season without VAR?

Newcastle United have had their fair share of VAR and refereeing controversies this season - but how has that impacted their league position?

A recent study from ESPN has determined how the Premier League table would shape up without the use of VAR across matches this campaign.

The research was released on March 31, so we’ve just simply added the latest round of results, including Leicester City’s denial of a winner at Manchester United by VAR on Saturday evening, to each team’s points tally.

Eddie Howe’s side currently sit 15th in the top-flight on 31 points, nine points above the relegation zone with eight matches remaining.

Would the Magpies be in a better or worst position without VAR? Well, the answer to that is the former as we take you through the Premier League table in full.
