£53m duo return in huge boost: Everton’s expected starting XI v Newcastle United

How Everton are expected to line-up against Newcastle United at Goodison Park.

Newcastle United visit Everton in the Premier League this evening (kick-off 7:45pm) - and a lot is riding on the fixture for both clubs.

As Eddie Howe’s Magpies chase down a top four finish, the Toffees’ perilous position has worsened in the last 24 hours following Nottingham Forest’s 3-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion. Sean Dyche’s side are 19th in the table and two points from safety.

A win will take Everton out of the bottom three tonight, though they’re currently four games without a win. United, meanwhile, are fresh from beating Tottenham Hotspur 6-1.

Fabian Schar is among the players facing a late fitness test, while Amadou Onana and Seamus Coleman are doubts for Everton, although have trained ahead of the game. Abdoulaye Doucoure is back from a three-game ban but Mason Holgate is suspended after he was sent off in the 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.

Here’s how Everton are likely to line-up against Newcastle - according to our sister title LiverpoolWorld.
