The Newcastle United pair enjoyed a date night with their partners.

Newcastle United duo Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton enjoyed a bank holiday weekend in the capital with their other halves.

Both Guimaraes and Joelinton helped Newcastle to a 4-1 win at Burnley on Saturday, three points that further strengthened the club’s European qualification bid. Guimaraes netted his sixth goal of the campaign while Joelinton made his long-awaited comeback after four months out with a thigh injury.

Both players were cheered on by their partners at Turf Moor with Guimaraes’ wife Ana Lidia Martins and Joelinton’s fiancée Thays Gondim spotted among the travelling Newcastle fans.

And shortly after the fixture, the two couples travelled south for a Brazilian date night in London, joined by West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta and singer Leo Santana. The group dinned at the Novikov Restaurant & Bar in Mayfair, as documented on Gondim’s Instagram.

Newcastle’s squad were handed an extra day or two off before preparations for the final home game of the season against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday get underway.

Paqueta’s West Ham - who on Monday announced David Moyes will step down as manager later this month - have fallen out of the European qualification race following their 5-0 defeat to Chelsea.

But while rivalries exist on the pitch, relationships remain strong off it. Paqueta and Guimaraes have best pals since their Lyon days together, while Joelinton’s emergence - both at the club and country level - has extended the friendship group.

Coincidentally, it’s three players Newcastle fans would love to see feature in the same midfield. Joelinton recently committed his long-term future to the Magpies but both Guimaraes and Paqueta are linked with reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

Newcastle and West Ham, however, hope neither player is going anywhere.
