AC Milan are not expecting any contact from Newcastle amid reports the Magpies could sue over the Sandro Tonali situation. Reports have claimed Tonali could be suspended for 10 months over alleged betting violations.

Futher reports have suggested Newcastle could take action due to AC Milan potentially having knowlegde of the investigation into Tonali’s actions prior to striking a £60million deal with Newcastle. But Calciomercato.it have reported that AC Milan were completely unaware of the situation, and becuase of that, they are not expecting to have any further dealings with Newcastle over the issue.

Pardew on Howe

Former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has been praising Eddie Howe’s efforts as Magpies boss. “He hasn’t gone to another level,” Pardew told talkSPORT.

“He’s got more experience. He’s always been at that level in my opinion. He’s a top manager. You can only play with the tools to have. I played against Eddie many times at Bournemouth and his teams were never set up like that (how Newcastle set up). It’s obviously horses for courses - and you have to be in the Premier League.

“This is why I have an issue at the bottom of the league. I don’t think teams are using horses for courses. If you’re a manager in the Premier League, get your team sorted and get results.”
