After a frustrating first-half, where Callum Wilson’s stoppage-time penalty put the Magpies narrowly in front, Eddie Howe’s side responded after the break to put in a dominant display at St James’ Park.
Wilson added a second from a cleverly worked corner routine involving Kieran Trippier and Miguel Almiron before Joelinton scored his first goal of the campaign moments later.
