With the Premier League season approaching its climax, and their top flight status secured, the focus is quickly turning towards what could be a transformative summer transfer window for Newcastle United.
The Magpies have been linked with a whole host of intriguing names as speculation ramps up across the media ahead of their first summer window under the ownership of the PIF-led consortium.
However, there has been talk of a number of current squad members departing St James Park and Eddie Howe has recently discussed the possibility of some ‘well loved’
He said: ““I think every summer I’ve been in management, I’ve had to make difficult decisions at the end of the season.
“Players that you love and have a great relationship with, sometimes have to leave for the benefit of the team. This season will be no different. I’m sure there’ll be players that will move on, who have represented the club in a brilliant way.”
There has been talk of French winger Allan Saint-Maximin departing and it has been suggested United would demand a record fee for one of their most prized assets.
