Newcastle United’s injury list eased on Saturday, despite losing 4-0 away to Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Magpies welcomed Anthony Gordon back into the starting XI after he missed the 3-2 FA Cup fourth round victory against Birmingham City with a quad issue, while Dan Burn was also passed fit. The Blyth-born defender was a doubt for the game after withdrawing at Birmingham with a groin complaint.

Sven Botman was withdrawn with a knee issue in Newcastle’s 2-0 Carabao Cup semi-final second leg win over Arsenal, forcing him to miss the last two games against Birmingham City and Manchester City.
What has Eddie Howe said?
Speaking on Friday, Howe said: "Good news on the scan that (Botman) had after the injury - we don't think there's any long term issue there.
“Short term, there's a still a bit of pain there for him, so we think he'll miss this weekend but hopefully won't be far away for the following games.”
