Newcastle United supporters group Wor Flags have called for ‘one last push’ as the Magpies bring down the curtain on an eventful season of home games on Monday night.
Top-four contenders Arsenal are in town as Eddie Howe’s side look to disrupt their push for a Champions League place and bring a memorable end to their campaign at St James Park.
The support of Wor Flags has been a feature of United’s home fixtures ever since the PIF-led consortium completed the takeover of the club and brought an end to Mike Ashley’s 13-year ownership.
Within days of the news breaking, the group confirmed they would end the absence of flags from St James Park after withdrawing their support in the stadium in protest over Ashley’s running of the club.
The first fixture under new ownership brought an emotional and memorable return for Wor Flags and they have gathered momentum as the season - and the push towards Premier League safety - has advanced.
Newcastle World takes a look at TEN memorable Wor Flags moment as St James Park eagerly anticipates a spectacular final display of the campaign.
