Eddie Howe and his players, who remain on course for Champions League qualification, have stayed in the capital and are training at an unspecified location as they prepare for the Bees.
The Magpies are currently on a four-game winning streak but face a Brentford side also harbouring thoughts on potential European qualification as they sit ninth in the Premier League table.
With Howe likely to stick with the same matchday squad that contributed to the win at the London Stadium, that drops a strong hint at what players are set to miss the Brentford clash.
