The Mehrdad Ghodoussi response to Alan Shearer that Newcastle United fans will LOVE

For only the second time this season, Newcastle United tasted victory. But this time, it really is hoped Eddie Howe’s side have lift-off.

A 1-0 away win at Leeds United, where a free-kick by Jonjo Shelvey proved the difference, was greatly admired by those in the away camp.

Was it pretty at times? No. Not any stretch. But the Magpies put their bodies on the line and clinched a vital three points at a hostile Elland Road.

United have once again reignited hope and optimism over retaining their Premier League status ahead of flying to Saudi Arabia this week for a mid-season training camp.

Indeed, that was some cause for celebration on Tyneside on Saturday night as Howe insisted “we’re not dead in buried” in the battle for top-flight safety.

And one man who did take to social media to express his delight about Newcastle’s win at Leeds was co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi.

Posting on Twitter at full-time, Ghodoussi said: “What a day….I’m actually emotional.

“Hopefully the beginning of many more wins. #wecandoit #nufc #BestFansInTheWorld.”

Ghodoussi’s tweeting didn’t stop there however, with a brilliant reply to club legend Alan Shearer that all Toon fans will enjoy.

Responding to a GIF of Carlton Prince’s famous dance from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with the caption “ Yeeeeeehaaaaaaaaa well done @NUFC A HUGE 3 points”, Ghodoussi, of PCP Partners, said “that was me last night”.

We suspect Mehrdad wasn’t the only one dancing long into the night.
