It’s been a busy start to the January transfer window at Newcastle United - and Eddie Howe is far from finished in the transfer window.

Having already added Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood to his ranks, the Magpies’ boss is targeting further new recruits before the end of the month.

Todd Cantwell and Hugo Ekitike are among the names believed to be interesting Newcastle when it comes to strengthening their forward line, while a number of defensive options are also being considered - after a move for Lille’s Sven Botman hit the brakes.

What’s available for new signings?

There remain a number of options available to new arrivals at Newcastle United.

While often worn by goalkeepers, the number 13 jersey is available for the remainder of the season - as are the numbers, 22 and 25.

Additionally, players could also select 30, 31, 35 or anything from 37 and over.

And of course, additional numbers could become available should any players depart in the coming weeks.
