Newcastle United are without Anthony Gordon for this afternoon’s Premier League clash at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers (kick-off 4:30pm).

The £45million January signing from Everton made his first Magpies start during last weekend’s 2-0 defeat at Manchester City. However, an ankle injury has prevented the 21-year-old from starting against Wolves at St James’ Park.

Allan Saint-Maximin, on his 26th birthday, comes into the starting line-up in what is a completely changed front three. Alexander Isak leads the line in place of Callum Wilson, while Miguel Almiron drops out in place of Jacob Murphy.

Elsewhere, Fabian Schar is immediately recalled to the backline after missing the Man City clash through concussion protocols. Joe Willock rejoins Sean Longstaff and Bruno Guimaraes in the midfield three as Joelinton serves the first game of his two-match ban.
