The photos that show how Newcastle United could line-up at Fulham amid nine-man injury list
Newcastle United’s injury list has felt never-ending of late, particularly after a frustrating international break.
With the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson already sidelined, the Magpies learned of further blows to Bruno Guimaraes, Alexander Isak and Chris Wood whilst they represented their respective nations.
The promising news is Wilson and Guimaraes are set to be available for Fulham this weekend, as is Elliot Anderson after missing the Bournemouth draw, while Saint-Maximin has a chance of making the bench.
However, the Magpies’ list of absentee remains sizeable, with Isak and Wood joining Jonjo Shelvey, Karl Darlow and Emil Krafth on the sidelines ahead of further assessment.
With talk of injuries high on Tyneside at the moment, NewcastleWorld takes a look at Howe’s side could line-up at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon - including starting XI and substitutes.

1. GK: Nick Pope
Pope returns from England duty injury free, although Newcastle will hope the goalkeeper is over his error against Germany.

2. RB: Kieran Trippier
Trippier was called up by England but was an unused substitute against Italy and Germany, which perhaps came as a relief to Newcastle. Photo: Shaun Botterill

3. CB: Fabian Schar
Schar was an unused substitute against Spain on Saturday but returned to play 90 minutes in Switzerland’s 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic yesterday. Photo: NIGEL RODDIS

4. CB: Sven Botman
