Newcastle United moved into the top half of the Premier League with a 3-0 victory at Norwich City on Saturday as the magnificent turnaround under Eddie Howe continued.

Rewind back to when Howe was appointed as Steve Bruce’s successor in November 2021, the Magpies sat in the relegation zone without a victory all season.

While Howe didn’t enjoy a ‘new manager bounce’ as such - winning just one of his opening nine games, the form in 2022 has been nothing short of remarkable.

With ten wins, two draws and three defeats - a run bettered only by title-chasing Liverpool - United have surged away from the drop zone to currently sit ninth in the table.
