Newcastle United ended their 2021/22 home campaign on a high by beating Arsenal 2-0 on Monday night.

In front of a deafening St James’ Park atmosphere, inspired by Wor Flags’ incredible pre-match display, the Magpies cruised to a 2-0 win to all-but end the Gunners’ hopes of finishing in the top four.

Since Eddie Howe was appointed United head coach, the club has lost just twice at home, and that was to Manchester City and Liverpool.

The three points saw United move up to 12th in the table and onto 46 points. Should Howe’s side beat Burnley on Sunday, and other results go their way, they could end up in the top 10.

Now, that would be an amazing achievement given Newcastle were deep in Premier League relegation trouble when Howe took charge in November.
