Bruno Guimaraes missed Newcastle United’s Premier League fixture at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.
The Magpies star started the opening three fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester City.

The Brazilian also played the remaining stages at Tranmere Rovers in midweek to help United seal their progression into the third round of the Carabao Cup.

However, Guimaraes was a surprise absentee against Wolves - and that is due to “a knock”, as per NUFC.co.uk.

During Friday’s pre-match press conference, Howe did not reveal the 24-year-old as an injury concern.
But Guimaraes joins Callum Wilson, Emil Krafth and Jonjo Shelvey on the sidelines, at least until Wednesday’s trip to Liverpool.
