Newcastle United are set to complete the signing of Tino Livramento after the full-back was spotted at St James’ Park this afternoon.

The England under-21s international missed Southampton’s Championship opener at Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night after a £30million fee was agreed between the two clubs.

Livramento travelled to the North East last night to undergo his medical and was in attendance as the Magpies hosted Europa Conference League finalists Fiorentina today.

The 20-year-old will become United’s fourth summer signing behind Yankuba Minteh, Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes.

If completed in good time, Livramento could be involved as Newcastle go up against Villarreal on Sunday (kick-off 4pm).
