Tottenham’s predicted starting XI v Newcastle United as Cristian Stellini drops £25m star

How Tottenham Hotspur are predicted to line-up for today’s Premier League top four clash against Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Clement Lenglet will undergo a late fitness test ahead of this afternoon’s Premier League top four clash at Newcastle United.

The Frenchman had been a doubt for the visit to St James’ Park after being forced off midway through last Saturday’s 3-2 home defeat to AFC Bournemouth.

However, interim boss Cristian Stellini hinted on Friday that the former Barcelona man could travel to Tyneside after resuming training.

He said: “Clement is good. He has to manage the inflammation, but he is in training. Maybe sometimes he has to manage the volume of the training, but we can manage that and be confident that Clement is playing.”

Stellini is keen to have the 27-year-old available from the start after his replacement Davinson Sanchez was booed by his own fans following a nightmare cameo against the Cherries. He was withdrawn less than 25 minutes after coming in Lenglet’s place.

Also pushing for a start is Arnaut Danjuma - a player Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe managed at Bournemouth - and £60million summer signing Richarlison.

A win for the Magpies at St James’ Park will see them open up a crucial six-point advantage over Spurs in the race for Champions League qualification.

Here’s how Tottenham Hotspur are predicted to line up against United.
