‘We didn’t’: Newcastle United star’s girlfriend sends emotional message after major milestone

Joelinton made his Champions League debut last night for Newcastle United’s 0-1 defeat.

Joelinton’s partner Thays Gondim has sent a public message to the Newcastle United player after the team’s eight game unbeaten run came to an end last night against Borussia Dortmund.

The Brazilian made his Champions League debut last night after missing the first two matches against AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain due to injury.

But a dream start was to be for the midfielder, with United losing 0-1 after Felix Nmecha’s first-half goal put the Bundesliga side in front in the 45th minute.

And to soften the blow, Thays sent a loving message to Joelinton.

“I’m always with you, always,” she said. “We didn’t win the game today but I already won in life by having you in my life EVERYDAY.”

The couple have been in a relationship since 2015 and have three children together.

Alongside her support for Joelinton, Thays also shared a photo of the Wor Flags display around St James’ Park with the caption ‘My Team.’
