Barcelona could sell Newcastle United-linked Raphinha this summer, despite him only making the move over to Spain last year from Leeds United. The winger has struggled to make an impact in La Liga and his long-term future at Camp Nou is up in the air at the moment.

According to Spanish news outlet Sport, his current club ‘will’ listen to offers for the attacker in the next transfer window as they look to balance the books. Xavi’s side have been in great form this season and find themselves top of the table above rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Newcastle could see Raphinha as someone to bolster their attacking options for next term and provide more competition and depth to their ranks. There is no doubt that the Toon Army will need more bodies in their squad with it looking increasingly likely that they will be in the Champions League.

The 26-year-old played for Leeds from 2020 to 2022 and was a hit during his time in Yorkshire. He made 67 appearances for the Whites in all competitions and chipped in with 17 goals before his transfer away last July. Prior to his switch to Elland Road, he had spells at Vitória de Guimarães, Sporting Lisbon and Rennes.

He has fired in 10 goals in 45 matches for Barcelona in this campaign but faces a lot of competition for his spot. Newcastle could provide him with an escape route and it appears he is up for sale right now.
