Wolves will be without at least two first-team players for this afternoon’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
Portuguese winger Chiquinho is a long-term absence for Bruno Lage’s side after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during pre-season.

The 22-year-old has undergone successful surgery but is already in a race to play again this campaign.
Lage also confirmed Connor Ronan won’t be involved after featuring for the under-21s.

“Everyone is fit and everyone is training, which is a good sign,” Lage confirmed during his post-match press conference.
“Connor Ronan played 90 minutes for the under-21s and is tired, so cannot be involved in the squad, but everyone else is fit.”
Indeed, the duo might not be the only players to miss the visit of Newcastle.

Wolves pair facing uncertain future
There are question marks over Willy Boly and Yerson Mosquera with the defensive pair facing an uncertain future at Molineux.
Boly has been the subject of a bid from elsewhere, while Lage is keen to loan out Mosquera.

On Boly, Lage said: “The only thing I can say is that Boly with me, top behaviour, good professional, he respects my opinions, but in the morning he didn’t feel that he could play.

“He had some pains so he stayed out of the squad. That is the only thing I can say for now, let’s see what happens until the end of the market. I know there’s a proposal for him.”
Mosquera is yet to make a Premier League appearance for Wolves.

Lage said: “What I want for Yerson is to understand if he has a fair chance to train in his position and to compete in his position. That is good and a natural process.
“If he doesn’t have that, I think we need to find a place for him to play because he needs and he deserves to play to continue to improve. He’s a valuable player, he’s very young and he can have a good career in the club.
“At the moment we have five (centre-backs) with us, let’s see what happens until the end of the market. Until the end we are looking at Yerson’s situation because he’s a lovely boy and deserves more than he is getting at the moment.”
