'You are proof' - Bruno Guimaraes sends touching message to Newcastle United teammate
Will Osula had a moment to savour after scoring his first Premier League goal in Newcastle United’s 3-0 win over Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Alexander Isak’s penalty opened the scoring for the Magpies on the brink of half-time. Dan Burn then doubled the lead before Osula was introduced from the bench. And the Danish forward scored within three minutes of coming on with a towering header from Kieran Trippier’s corner.

Osula is right to mention staying patient as he is yet to start a Premier League game for Newcastle, playing just 96 minutes in total.
And it seems that is recognised in the dressing room too, with captain Bruno Guimaraes sending a heartfelt message to Osula on Instagram.
The Brazilian wrote: “Delighted for you my bro. You are proof that hard work always pays off. Keep it going - the first of many in the Premier League for you!”
Eddie Howe comments on Will Osula
With Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson ahead of Osula in the pecking order, all three of his starts have come against lower league opposition. The Denmark under-21s international was recruited as one for the future and Newcastle boss Eddie Howe believes he has improved.

“He came on at right wing, which is a totally different position. I know it's obvious, but it's a totally different position and different skill set from playing as a nine but I thought he looked a real threat.
“He looked quick and athletic. And the goal I thought was an outstanding finish. He's 6'3", verging on 6'4" so he needs to be a physical presence. He needs to use his aerial skills. Delighted that he got his first Premier League goal.”
