Your new Newcastle United starting XI features five summer signings - if the transfer news is true
Newcastle United have made a strong start to the summer transfer window with the arrival of three senior players.
The signing of Matt Targett on a permanent basis from Aston Villa for £15million kickstarted the club’s business.
Fellow Englishman Nick Pope swiftly followed Targett to St James’ Park, with the 30-year-old arriving from Burnley on a four-year contract.
The month of June is usually a quiet month, but Newcastle made the most noise by sealing a deal for highly-rated defender Sven Botman.
Botman, a Dutch under-21s international, is a player the Magpies have chased since January. To finally get him, ahead of AC Milan, is a bit of a bit deal.
Eddie Howe’s side are finished in the transfer market yet - far from it - with quality needed in the final third of the pitch.
The transfer rumours are still going strong and here, NewcastleWorld takes a look at the players linked and see where they may, if pulled off, fit into Howe’s United starting XI:

3. CB: Sven Botman
After a six-month long chase, Newcastle United have got their man, beating AC Milan to his signature. Botman has signed a five-year contract with the Magpies.
