The Brit Awards will take place at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday, February 11.
Who is nominated for the 2023 Brit Awards?
Nominations for the awards are yet to be announced. This will be done on the afternoon and evening of Thursday, January 12 through a live stream produced by the team behind the awards.
The winner of one award has already been announced with R&B girl group FLO picking up the award.
Which categories could Sam Fender get nominated for at the 2023 Brit Awards?
With no studio releases within the nomination time frame, Fender is not able to pick up the British Album of the Year award this year after Seventeen Going Under missed out in 2022, losing to Adele and her album 30.
Despite this, the North Shields local could still be nominated for British Artist of the year following a monumental 12 months. As well as selling out a show at Finsbury Park in London, the single Seventeen Going Under continued to pick up traction throughout the year with the track being the soundtrack to one of Glastonbury Festival’s best Pyramid Stage moments over the summer.
Fender may also be nominated for best British Rock/Alternative Act, an award he currently holds after the 2022 Brit Awards.
How many Brit Awards has Sam Fender won?
The singer-songwriter, who is set to play shows at St James Park this summer, has already got two Brit Awards to his name. In addition to the British Rock/Alternative Act from 2022 he also won the Critics Choice Award in 2019 ahead of the release of his first album, Hypersonic Missiles.
