On Tuesday, July 26 the shortlist was announced for the 2022 Mercury Prize, a prestigious award for the top album by a UK artist over the previous 12 months.

Within the 12 album shortlist is Sam Fender’s album Seventeen Going Under, which has already received a Brit Award since its release in October 2021.
