We're welcoming over 110 artists to Newcastle Fringe Festival despite getting no arts funding
Taking place every Tuesday and Saturday from Tuesday, July 22 until Saturday, August 2, This year’s festival features over 110 performances across eight North East venues.
The buzz is already building as the festival team unveils a programme packed with comedy, music, theatre, poetry, dance, family entertainment, drag and much more.

With over 110 performances scheduled, audiences will recognize big names and familiar faces, including Carol Ann Duffy, Loet Laureate from 2009 until 2019, who will be performing at the Old Coal Yard and Suzie McCabe, an award-winning Scottish comedian who has starred on Live At The Apollo.
Local talent will also be represented thanks t o names including Newcastle-born comedian Lauren Pattison andKatie Doherty and The Navigators, who’s latest album was hugely successful in the UK Folk charts.

- Alphabetti Theatre, St James Boulevard
- Prohibition Cabaret Bar, Pink Lane
- The Old Coal Yard, Elizabeth Street
- The Cumberland Arms, St James Place
- Dance City, Temple Street
- The Lubberfiend, Blandford Street
- The Newgate Social, Newgate Street
- Artisan at The Busciut Factory, Stoddart Street
This has all been achieved without support grants from Arts Council England or Newcastle City Council with the organisers saying: “ – NFF25 is powered by community, collaboration, and creativity. In true Geordie style, we're forging ahead!”

Hide AdThe festival has also pledged that 10% of tickets will be sold under a ‘no questions asked’ policy. This will see tickets sold at a two thirds discount and are available to anyone who cannot afford to pay in full, with no questions asked.
