The UK is home to some amazing venues.

Newcastle is already home to one of the largest arenas in the UK but a new riverside arena is in the planning stages on the Gateshead side of the Tyne.

Planners believe the new arena, which is expected to be in place next to the Sage in Gateshead, will be open by 2025 and will host the world’s top performers in music, comedy and entertainment.

But how does Newcastle’s current arena compare to the new venue and other similar sites across the country?
