This first event is great for those that love art and pop culture - Newcastle University’s Hatton Gallery is playing host to the Print Goes Pop Exhibition.

The exhibition brings pop art legends to the North East and it will explore the artists use of the screen print technique made popular during the pop era. The exhibition will feature until January 29.

If you want to celebrate Burns Night next week this event will be a great way to do just that. Kennedy and Rhind are launching their evening Scottish-themed dining experience on January 25. Customary haggis and Northumberland-sourced venison will be on offer.

Guests will be met with nibbles on arrival and there will be a selection of exclusive whisky based cocktails.

The night will also include entertainment from a piper along with a readying of Robert Burns poem, Address to the Haggis.

If you maybe want to give Veganuary a try the Flower Power Vegan Fest at Wylam Brewery might be a good place to start.

The brewery is playing host to vegan street vendors that are giving people a chance to try different types of vegan foods.

There will also be cocktails and beer from the brewery with some music and entertainment. This takes place on January 21 and 22.

If you want to learn more about the North East history, Segedunum is hosting the Hadrian’s Wall Festival.

As part of the exhibition, visitors can see what the locations would have looked like by the light of a candle or by the light of an open fire like it would have in the past. The installation looks at the gold stores in the strong room, the white light of the stars and the red flames of fires burning on alter.

This installation is on show from January 22 to 29.
