The holidays are indeed coming as Coca-Cola has announced their festive tradition, the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck, will be spreading joy once again across the country for the Christmas season. The anticipated tour is set to put a spotlight on the local community, supporting FareShare, the UK’s biggest charity fighting hunger and food waste.

A staple of Coca-Cola’s Christmas campaign alongside the classical series of adverts informing everyone “the holidays are coming,” the Christmas Truck tour started in 2010 and travels south from Scotland stopping at cities such as Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds before reaching its final destination, London, four weeks later in the middle of December.

Themed this year as “Your Presence is Your Present”, the Truck aims to deliver over the equivalent of up to 100,000 meals to those in need throughout the festive season; for every person who attends when the truck rolls into town, Coca‑Cola Great Britain will fund the equivalent of one meal for a person in need

100,000 meals have already been donated to FareShare by Coca‑Cola Europacific Partners, kickstarting the 2022 campaign in tremendous fashion. “We’re incredibly grateful for the support from Coca‑Cola” Lindsay Boswell, CEO at FareShare said. “Their donation will help us get more good-to-eat surplus food to people across the UK most impacted by the cost of living crisis.”

“We hope as many people visit the Coca‑Cola Truck Tour this Christmas so that we can get more food to people who need it during what are challenging times for many.”

This year’s Coca-Cola Christmas Truck also marks a first in the big rig’s history by collaborating with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and NaviLens on a pilot project to make its packaging accessible for blind and partially sighted people. Promotional multi-packs will contain the NaviLens technology, allowing people with sight loss to access the key information they need to shop independently and with confidence.
