German Doner Kebab has opened its doors in Newcastle with Geordie Shore and Love Island stars present at the launch.

The new fast-casual dining experience opened its new store with an orange light-up of the Millenium Bridge and a star-studded opening weekend.

Original Geordie Shore cast members Sophie Kasaei and Chloe Ferry were present at the launch, along with Love Island star Brad McClelland.

The stars were seen tucking into the traditionally made takeaway classic, celebrating the launch of the 76^th German Doner Kebab UK site.

Daniel Bunce, GDK MD for UK and Europe, said: “After an amazing launch weekend to mark our arrival in Newcastle, we’re delighted to officially open to the public and bring the German Doner Kebab experience to all the Geordie locals.”

GDK’s latest Newgate Street site hopes to create 40 new jobs in the region, with the gourmet kebab chain offering a dine-in experience, takeaway option and click and collect service soon.
