Newcastle's Times Square announces five-day St Patricks Day event with sport and live music

Partygoers, sports fans and anyone who enjoys celebration is in luck as St Patrick’s Day is set to be another huge weekend in the Newcastle nightlife calendar.

From 13 to 17 March the city’s Times Square will be the focal point for the Paddy Fest Weekender 2025; a five-day festival centred around the Emerald Isle – and early bird tickets are now on sale.

Thousands are expected to turn up to the giant, 2000 person Paddy Fest tent to enjoy everything from pro-am darts, the EFL Cup Final and the rugby Six Nations to a backdrop of live Irish music, table dancing and singalongs.

On Super Saturday, March 17 – the final day of the Six Nations tournament - rugby will replace darts in the tent from midday to 11pm, with two giant screens showing the Italy v Ireland game, followed by the Wales v England match and, later, France v Scotland.

Football takes centre stage on Sunday, March 16 when fans of the beautiful game can watch the EFL Cup Final in Paddy Fest’s heated marquee with a massive 30ft bar serving food and drink and live djs playing into the evening.
