Oktoberfest is set to return to Newcastle in 2021.

The Covid pandemic prevented the 2020 instalment from taking place, but the authentic German beer festival has been given the go ahead for this year.

The North East celebration will be held over 9 days in October, with more lederhosen, steins of beer and oompah bands than you can shake a bratwurst at.

What is Oktoberfest?

Oktoberfest returns to Newcastle city centre as the only authentic German beer festival celebration across the North East of England.

Newcomers to the festival can expect a huge Bavarian beer tent filled with the traditional blue and white Oktoberfest decor and plenty of drinks.

There will be beer benches, steins and the sounds of the resident oompah party band among a huge tent filled with good party folk dressed in costume.

This year will see fun events such as Kroud Karaoke and Let’s Play Darts.

When is Oktoberfest Newcastle taking place?

In 2021, Oktoberfest Newcastle is set to take place between Friday 15 October and Saturday 23 October.

It promises to provide a great selection of traditional German beer and food as well as one of the UK’s best Bavarian oompah bands.

Where is Oktoberfest Newcastle being held?

Oktoberfest Newcastle will be held in Times Square in the heart of the city.
