The welcome return of Peter Kay to the live comedy front has been one of the stories of 2022, and with the enormous interest in getting tickets to see the Bolton comedian’s long awaited return comes additional dates for his UK tour. Newcastle happens to be one of the lucky few locations to receive those additional dates in 2023.
Already scheduled to be performing at the Utilita Arena on March 9 and 10, fans in the Northeast who missed out the first time around can now roll the ticketing dice again with a third show now announced for January 30 at 8pm.

Reviews for Peter Kay’s comeback have been overwhelmingly positive, with audiences who have had the fortune to see the stand-up so far enamoured with the Phoenix Nights and Car Share creator’s humorous observations on popular culture. Long time fans can rest assured though that callbacks to classic gags such as “garlic bread” are still referenced in the all new show.
In a review by the BBC on the first nights of Kay’s triumphant return in Manchester, Ian Young wrote: “He felt freshest when poking fun at both modern life and himself. This time, there were occasions where he sailed close to political incorrectness, although he was at pains to claim he wanted to steer clear of cancel culture territory.”
