Local hero Sam Fender is headlining Newcastle’s Utilita Arena tonight to kick off his Covid-delayed tour.

Those attending the sold-out gig must make themselves aware of current Utilita Arena rules, including Covid-19 guidelines.

Anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 or has been told to isolate must not attend.

Ticket checks will take place on entry to the Utilita Arena. Attendees are asked to have their tickets ready for inspection.

Fans attending the gig may be asked to prove their Covid-19 status and are also subject to the usual entry rules.

The arena has a strict no large bags or backpacks policy. All bags must be approximately A3 size at most. A security check will also be made for all attending.

Attendees will also walk through metal detectors when entering the venue. A demo video of what to expect when going through the metal detector is available on the Utilita Arena website.

For those needing to store bags and coats, Stasher have locations a short walk from the arena. The arena does not offer a cloakroom or storage facility.

Exceptions can be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs, but this must be communicated ahead of the visit for ease of entry.
