Seventeen Going Under followed in the footsteps of Fender's 2019 debut Hypersonic Missiles to hit the top spot.

In the process, the sophomore record outsold the rest of the Top 10 combined as the North Shields star continues his stratospheric rise.

To celebrate the new music, Fender will be hitting the road in 2022 with some mammoth shows in the calendar.

That includes two stops in his hometown of Newcastle.

Al you need to know about those shows is here.

When is Sam Fender playing Newcastle?

The singer will begin his Seventeen Going Under Tour in March 2022.

Both his shows in Newcastle will be at the Utilita Arena, which has a capacity of 11,000.

How do I get tickets?

Newcastle loves Sam Fender and, as a result, tickets for both shows have already sold out.

The only remaining tickets on Ticketmaster are for disabled customers and those can still be purchased on the site.

However, not all hope is lost.

The singer has partnered with ticket re-sale site Twickets to help those who can't go sell tickets for face value.

There are currently tickets available on Twickets and it's worth checking back regularly.
