The best bars with Eurovision watch parties across Newcastle as the event returns this week
That’s right, Eurovision returns to our screens very soon and we can’t wait.
Kicking off with two semi finals during the week, the main event is set to take place on the evening of Saturday, May 17.

The event is a well loved annual competition and bars across Newcastle are expected to show the event in full.
This year the UK will be represented by trio Remember Monday, who will perform their track What The Hell Just Happened?
Sweden are the favourites to win the event with bookmakers placing the UK in 18th.
So if you aren’t wanting to host your own Eurovision Party this year, or fancy getting into the mood around plenty of other fans, these bars and event spaces across Newcastle are getting ready to welcome you for the big day.

The iconic Times Square club and music venue is opening its doors earlier than usual this Saturday for a Eurovision event.
Claiming to treat the competition like “the biggest day of the year so far”, Digital is promising a night of singing, dancing and more alongside special decoration and themed cocktail drink options throughout the night.
Tickets are on sale now and can be picked up through the venue’s website.
Boulevard Newcastle
One of Newcastle’s top LGBTQ+ venues is returning to the Eurovision fun this year with an evening of entertainment.

Hide AdHostred by drag queen PlastiQ, the night is set to include crowd karaoke before the broadcast while drag cabaret will keep the crowds going during the long night. A full food and cocktail menu is also being promised.

Northumbria Students Union
Eurovision is always a huge night in the student calendar, and this year is no different. The Students Union at Northumbria University is claiming “the best night out on campus” is taking place this Saturday with a huge screen, singalongs, free popcorn and free face painting.
The site’s food hub is set to serve up food from across the continent at Habita, the union’s food and drink spot.
