Cult nineties group The Lemonheads, led by Evan Dando, are set to perform in Newcastle this weekend.

The album, their first released through a major record label, helped break the band into the mainstream music scene alongside Mrs. Robinson being featured in the movie Wayne’s World 2, released a year later.

More recently, Martin Scorcese used the cover in his 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street, bringing a renewed interest in the band from younger listeners.

The Lemonheads went on a hiatus in 1998 to 2004, during the down period of the style of college rock the band were renowned for.

However upon their return, the band have released three new albums since 2009, with lead singer Evan Dando a constant member since their formation in 1986.
