As soon as Newcastle United reached the Carabao Cup final, pubs and bars across the city got ready for a huge afternoon of football at the end of February. With so many options for fans old out, we’ve taken a look at places which have said they are accepting walk-ins for fans without tickets to other events across the city.

Shark Club Newcastle

The bar in St James’ Park’s doorstep has sold out of available booked tables, although the team at the Gallowgate site have said they will be accepting walk-ins on match day as well.

The quaint bar at The Gate has also sold out of all allocated spots for Sunday but will be offering walk-ins with free entry. Doors open at 10am with a first come first served process in order.

The County, Gosforth

This pub to the north of the city centre only had a couple of seats available to book, meaning the rest are first come first served on matchday. Doors open at 12 noon.

Bohemia

Found on Collingwood Street, Bohemia is offering both walk-ins and bookings ahead of the final on Sunday.

The Blue Bell

Jesmond Vale’s Blue Bell has no bookable tables at all, leaving anyone looking for a way to watch the game with another option away from the city centre.

This well known boozer in the heart of the city says it has had plenty of booking requests but is only offering walk-ins on match day.

The Akenside Traders

Down by the Quayside, this popular pub has seen every table booked for weeks in the build up to the final but has said it will also be offering walk-ins until it reaches capacity on matchday. The Dean Street pub is set to open at 11am.

Spot White

There is no better place in Newcastle to watch the final today than right outside St James’ Park and Spot White is an ideal option on Stowell Street. The final will be shown over 20 screens in the pool bar and the final is not a ticketed event for the site.
