Ever since Newcastle United qualified for the Carabao Cup Final, anyone without the chance of getting a ticket has started working out their plans for the big weekend.
Preparation for the final has been far from ideal with injuries and performances meaning Eddie Howe’s side will go into another final without a full strength squad, but that won’t stop fans from heading to pubs, bars and venues across the city to enjoy the spectacle of Newcastle United at a cup final at Wembley Stadium.
A record six tonnes of beer have been ordered to keep up with the Toon Army’s thirst, as supporters get set to watch Newcastle United at NX.
The site’s Venue Manager Luke Rushfirth said: "Every time Newcastle United reaches a cup final, the city comes alive, and we knew we had to go all out for this one. The response has been phenomenal – tickets were snapped up in no time, and we’ve had to bring in a record six tonnes of beer to keep up with demand.
“If there’s one thing Geordies love as much as their football, it’s their beer, and we’re ready to serve up both in massive quantities on Sunday!"
With that in mind, these are some of the biggest fanzones across the city to take in the action this Sunday.
