Newcastle Foodbank
Foodbanks can be lifesaving community projects, and this is set to continue into 2022. Across the UK, they are run by volunteers for the less fortunate and with the amount of people in the UK relying on them on the rise, there is no better time to offer your support.
Newcastle’s West End Foodbank is currently on the search for centre assistants to prepare food, keep sites tidy and signpost clients to further support services if required as well as a warehouse volunteer who is required to check all donated food and keep stock.

Oxfam
The well known poverty charity are searching for two volunteer roles, one who will be working on the shop floor of a store run by the charity as part of a visual merchandiser position which ensures the store looks pleasant and encourages shoppers to enter while the other will be taking to social media to promote the work of the charity and the store itself.

Ouseburn Farm
There are four roles available for the inner city farm to the east of Newcastle’s city centre. The farm is looking for a group of people to ensure the smooth running and promotion of the site.
The available routes into spending time at the farm can be found through meet and greet volunteers at the site’s shop in addition to two tech led roles. These are in digital communications and media production.
A fourth role sees a chance to support adults with learning difficulties and disabilities who attend the farm as an Adult Placement Support Volunteer.
