Where can I see firework displays in and around Newcastle this Autumn 2022?


Bonfire Night is fast approaching now and while the earlier nights mean colder and darker evenings, it also means firework season is nearly here once again.
There is plenty going on across the region this Autumn, and these are some of the biggest displays we’re excited to see.
Saltwell Park

Saltwell Park’s firework display is back with a bang this year. The Gateshead site is home to one of the most popular displays in the region with an estimated 20,000 visitors attending each year.
This year’s display will include a 30 minute display as well as a laser show and fire eating stage show with a DJ, fairground rides and street entertainers all adding to the experience.
The event is fully ticketed with entrance costing £7. The gates open at 5pm with the display starting at 7:30pm. Food, drink and rides are available until 9pm.
Newcastle Racecourse
On the other side of the Tyne, Newcastle Racecourse are bringing back their Fireworks & Funfair night of racing on Friday, November 4.

Tickets are now available for the day which runs from 2:30pm when gates open through the evening with a full aftnoon of racing between 3:05pm and 6:15 before a 15 minute display starts at 7:30.
A funfair and face and glitter painting will keep the little ones entertained while anyone aged 17 or under can go to the races for free when accopanied by an adult.
Tynemouth Cricket Club
Anyone looking for an earlier option should look no further than Tynemouth Cricket Club who are hosting a spooky spectacular fireworks night on Saturday, October 29.
The North Shields site host a professional display as well as fairground rides and Halloween costume competitions with prizes.

Tickets start from £3 for adults and £3 per child with family deal options available.
Alnwick Rugby Club
The annual Round Table fireworks display in Alnwick returns this year on Saturday, November 5 with tickets available now.
The site will be open from 6:30pm with a funfair keeping families entertained until the display gets underway at 7:30.
