Time for something a bit different now, and if you’ve found yourself dreaming of a new career well the Newcastle careers fair could be the place for you. Taking place at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park, the Fair will offer candidates from all backgrounds, experience and education levels the opportunity to speak to representatives from an abundance of local employers, all in one place. Not only that, but there will be job roles advertised at the event, giving you the chance to skip the online application process. That’s on Wednesday the 3rd of November.

Now, local potters, textiles artists, jewellers, soap makers, and so many other northern creatives will be gathering under one roof for the Made Up North Winter Market. On the 14th of November, The Boiler Shop on South Street will be hosting the event which will also be acting as a drop-off point for food and hygiene donations for East End Women and The Hygiene bank Newcastle. And Every person who brings a donation will be entered into a raffle!

And finally, what a Christmas treat this is, the legendary Bill Bailey is heading to the Utilita Arena on Monday the 20th of December. The comedian is bringing his new show "en route to normal" to the North East where he’ll be sharing his own experiences of lockdown. The show will offer a funny, heartwarming mix of stories, music and history, and a personal mission to find our way through these Strange Times!
