If you are a bit of an adventurer, then the Ice Dip Social might be the perfect event for you - although, it’s not for the faint-hearted.

For this event you will take a swim in the cold waters of the North Sea.

As well as plunging into cold water you will also be able to enjoy a therapeutic Finnish tent sauna where you and your friends can chill out and enjoy some local food, which is cooked onsite.

The event runs from January 20 to March 19, 2022. Bookings can be made here.

Meanwhile, if you enjoy the outdoors but maybe cold water swimming isn’t your thing, we’ve another event that’s great for the whole family to enjoy.

The Land of Oak and Iron Heritage Centre are hosting a family bird walk. An expert will walk with you to help search for bird life in the Blaydon area.

The event promises to be a great introduction for children and families to finding out more about birds. This event takes place on January 16.

This next event is for kids in Newcastle who identify as LGBTQIA+ who are gender non-conforming or questioning their identity.

The Curious Youth Arts Group are coming to Dance City in Newcastle City Centre - on January 15 - and they provide a safe space for young people where they can connect with other whilst exploring their creativity.

The group leaders will take charge of some fun activities and hope that the kids that join will be inspired by exploring different art forms.

If you are looking for something a bit different to enjoy The Circus of Horrors arrives at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House with its latest show The Witch.

The show - also on January 15 - includes some amazing and bizarre circus acts along with a healthy dose of rock music. The show tells a story of witchcraft and includes the witch trials. This show is only suitable for adults due to the nature of the performance but if you enjoy the theatre and rock music, this event will please almost anyone.
