Food hygiene ratings given to two Gateshead restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Sodexo Government Services, at Cuthbert House, Derwentwater Road, Teams, Gateshead was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 8.

And Cafe Shrub, at Land Of Oak And Iron Heritage Centre, Spa Well Road, Winlaton Mill, Blaydon was given a score of two on September 8.

It means that of Gateshead's 263 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 204 (78%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
