Food hygiene ratings given to two Gateshead restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Nisha's Tandoori, at 6 Hexham Road, Swalwell, Gateshead was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 14.

And Piazza Latina Restaurant, at 592 Durham Road, Low Fell, Gateshead was also given a score of four on February 14.

It means that of Gateshead's 251 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 202 (80%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
